About iARELA

iARELA is a professional membership organization created with three central goals:

1) Develop best practices and standards for the lease audit industry

2) Train and educate professionals looking to become professional lease auditors

3) Certify qualifying individuals who exhibit a superior level of knowledge and expertise in lease auditing

Membership is open to both current and hopeful lease audit professionals. However, the professional designations can only be awarded to those who meet the stringent requirements for certification.

iARELA is headquartered in Washington, DC and was originally founded as ARELA (Association of Real Estate Lease Auditors) in January 2000 by a group of dedicated lease audit professionals. ARELA is considered one of the pioneers of the modern lease audit industry and was a leader in enterprise-wide lease audit services.

Today, iARELA has experience with tens of thousands of lease audits and has successfully resolved countless landlord-tenant disputes. We’ve worked with virtually every major landlord and property manager type, major tenant occupants of the commercial real estate space, and all building and lease types.

iARELA is setting the pace and laying the foundation for the effective regulation of the commercial real estate lease audit industry. We aim to establish alliances with other leading commercial real estate institutions and organizations to provide broader resources and encourage an equal level of buy-in from landlord and property managers.
