iARELA was established to educate and certify qualified individuals as commercial real estate lease auditors. It is the first organization of its kind for lease auditors.
iARELA's goals include establishing standards and principles to guide lease auditors, and providing a foundation for the continued growth of the lease audit industry.
iARELA awards the Certified Lease Auditor professional designation.
How do I become an iARELA member
iARELA offers 3 types of membership: Student, General (for non-students who have not obtained the Certified Lease Auditor designation) and Professional (for Certified Lease Auditors).
To become an iARELA member, the individual has to complete the application, and, if requested, submit any additional documentation. Upon approval of the application, the individual pays the annual membership fee to confirm membership. All members are required to comply with the iARELA bylaws as determined by the Executive Board.
How do I become a Certified Lease Auditor?
iARELA’s certification process includes technical training for aspiring lease auditors by placing them with approved lease auditing organizations in the USA. The objective of this hands-on training is to ensure that applicants get the opportunity to apply both their technical and theoretical knowledge. iARELA can effectively assess the applicant via direct feedback from their immediate supervisors. Certifications are awarded to the individuals who meet the educational and experience qualifications and demonstrate high proficiency in all critical areas of the lease audit process However, individuals who can demonstrate 5 or more years of lease audit experience will not require a certification test.
